Herpes Simplex Plus Paste Formula (HSV Plus): This paste is used on fever blisters and cold sores that are on dry parts of the skin external to the mouth while the HSV Plus Powder is used on the wet skin areas inside the mouth.
This formula was designed to treat Group 1 viral infections that occur on dry skin areas. This would be a Cold Sore, Canker Sore, or Fever Blister on the outside of the lip.
Cold/Canker Sores, Fever Blisters: In human trials this paste has shown to be extremely effective at ending these infections faster than any prescription medication available. When the cold sore is first noticed the paste should be administered as soon as possible. Each application is 12 mg spread evenly over the infected area. Applications should be applied after breakfast, dinner and at bedtime (lunch is optional). From our tests we found that if the paste is applied within 12 hours of first noticing the cold sore the infection and all its related symptoms were generally gone within 36 to 48 hours (24 hours if the paste is applied within 6 hours of first noticing the cold sore). 'First noticing' is when the cold sore is in the tight itchy phase before it has become painful. The painful phase generally starts 6 to 12 hours after the first noticeable signs begin.
Generally 12 mg of the paste is spread over the infected area three or four times a day; after breakfast, after lunch is optional, after dinner and at bedtime. Continue applications until healed.
For larger area dry wounds (not open or bleeding) or burns apply a larger amount of paste until the entire wound area is covered and continue until healed.
